Rep. Tony Gonzales, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 23rd District since 2021, recently shared several messages on social media addressing various topics from national policy to local issues and celebrations.

On July 3, 2025, Rep. Gonzales highlighted the benefits of the “OBBB” in a post. He stated that it provides significant tax relief to working families and reimburses Texas for border security funding. Additionally, he mentioned that it aims to improve take-home pay for his constituents and assist farmers and ranchers in protecting themselves from the “death tax.” “From reimbursing Texas for border security funding to giving working families significant tax relief, the OBBB makes Americans safer and more prosperous.”

The following day, on July 4, 2025, Gonzales celebrated Independence Day by reflecting on the country’s history of liberty and freedom. He extended his wishes specifically to his district with a patriotic message: “249 years of liberty, freedom, and hope. Happy 4th of July, #TX23! “

Later on July 4th, he expressed concern for those affected by natural disasters in his region. In response to flooding throughout the Hill Country in Texas, Gonzales offered his support through a prayerful message: “My prayers are with our fellow Texans impacted by the devastating flooding throughout the Hill Country.”
