Prairie View’s Hope Named to the 2022 SWAC Volleyball Preseason Second Team

Senior setter Jakarta Hope was named to the All-SWAC Volleyball Preseason Second Team voted on by head coaches and sports information directors announced on Thursday by the conference office.

A native of Killeen, Texas has been a staple of the Prairie View A&M University’s volleyball program over the last three seasons.  Hope led the Lady Panthers with 558 assists and ranked fifth in the conference in assist per set with 5.17.  She has tallied a career of 1,353 assist over a three year period.  Hope ranked second on the team in aces with 22 last season.

The Lady Panthers will open their season at the Lamar Invite in Beaumont, Texas August 26 against Idaho State for a 10 a.m. first serve.
