On July 14, 2025, Gonzales alerted residents about rising water levels in Uvalde County. He wrote: “Evacuations are underway in Uvalde County due to an expected rise in water levels on the Frio River. If you are near the river, move to higher ground. Conditions can change very quickly—safe and alert, #TX23.”
Later that day, Gonzales announced his participation in a local infrastructure event. He stated: “RESULTS: With @ShavanoPark City Council and Mayor Bob Werner this morning for the groundbreaking of the De Zavala Road project. I was proud to deliver $4,000,000 for this important project to improve traffic and safety in the San Antonio area.”
On July 15, 2025, Gonzales shared details from a federal meeting focused on security issues. He reported: “Excellent meeting today with Secretary of the Army and Acting ATF Director Daniel Driscoll.
