Rep. Tony Gonzales, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’s 23rd District since 2021, recently shared his views on social issues via social media posts.
On June 10, 2025, Gonzales highlighted the issue of veteran homelessness by stating that “on any given night, over 32,000 veterans in America go to sleep without a roof over their heads. That’s unacceptable.” He expressed his intent to collaborate with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address this issue both in Texas’s 23rd District and nationwide.
Later that day, he commented on a presidential event by saying “the love we have for our country should ALWAYS bring us together—it’s great to see our President celebrate our soldiers today at Fort Bragg.“
On June 11, Gonzales turned his attention to concerns about public safety and law enforcement. He remarked on ongoing disturbances in Los Angeles: “The lawlessness in LA has been unfolding for DAYS. Now, other cities are following suit and taking a play from California’s book.” He voiced support for law enforcement personnel dealing with these challenges.
Born in San Antonio in 1980, Tony Gonzales is currently residing there and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College.
