Rep. Tony Gonzales, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 23rd congressional district, posted several updates on his social media accounts in late July and early August 2025, highlighting both the contributions of his summer interns and paying tribute to a prominent San Antonio musician.

On July 31, 2025, Rep. Gonzales acknowledged the efforts of his interns during National Intern Day: “Happy National Intern Day! Grateful to this standout class of summer interns in D.C. for their honorable commitment to serving #TX23.” He also encouraged others interested in similar opportunities to apply through his office, stating on the same day: “Interested in an internship with my office? The following day, on August 1, Rep. Gonzales commemorated Flaco Jimenez, a renowned figure in Tejano music from San Antonio: “Flaco Jimenez will forever be a San Antonio legend.

Gonzales has represented Texas’s 23rd district since first winning election in 2020 against Gina Ortiz Jones by a narrow margin. He was re-elected in subsequent contests, defeating John Lira in 2022 and Santos Limon in 2024 with increasing vote shares each cycle.
