In a post from the morning of July 29, Gonzales wrote: “Good morning from the 915 Started the day with El Paso Mayor Renard Johnson to discuss federal grants and development opportunities for the Borderland region. It’s my honor to represent El Paso and Fort Bliss in Congress.”
Later that day, he posted about his visit to Montana Vista: “Just finished several site visits in Montana Vista with El Paso County Commissioner, Jackie Butler. Gonzales has represented Texas’s 23rd congressional district since winning election in 2020. He secured re-election victories against Gina Ortiz Jones in 2020 (50.6% to 46.6%), John Lira in 2022 (55.9% to 38.8%), and Santos Limon in 2024 (62.3% to 37.7%).
