The El Paso, TX metro area ranks first in trade with Mexico with exports of $28.1 billion in 2019, according to the International Trade Administration (ITA).

The El Paso, TX area includes Hudspeth and El Paso counties and is the 42nd largest metro area with a population of 840,477.

The International Trade Administration (ITA) promotes trade and investments in the United States through data aggregation and studies on global markets and specific U.S. regions. ITA utilizes its research to negotiate on behalf of U.S. industries and is also responsible for enforcing trade agreements.
