Midland College 48th Annual Commencement Ceremony

On Friday, May 13, Midland College (MC) will celebrate the 2022 graduating class as bachelor degrees, associate degrees and certificates are conferred on approximately 400 students participating in the 48th annual commencement ceremony.

“This is always a special event for us,” Dr. Steve Thomas, MC president, said.  “The evening is about our students and their accomplishments.  Their success is our success, and I join with all faculty and staff in congratulating them for reaching this milestone in their higher education and career journeys.”

As is the tradition, students will participate in the ceremony including the National Anthem sung by graduate candidate Jeron Thorpe and a speech by Caleb Goillandeau who is not only receiving an associate degree on Friday evening, but will also receive his high school diploma from Early College High School at Midland College (ECHS@MC) on May 20.  Caleb has been a student leader at MC.  He is active in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and was instrumental in leading a student-produced podcast this past year.  Note to Media:  Caleb Goillandeau is available for interviews.  Please contact Rebecca Bell, 432/685-4556 (office), 432/853-7099 (mobile) to schedule.

Tickets are not required for the ceremony.  The event will also be livestreamed.  Link is available on the MC website homepage
