El Paso Electric Supports EPCC Foundation

The El Paso Community College Foundation was awarded $10,000 for EPCC student scholarships by the El Paso Electric Community Partners Program on July 7, 2022. Scholarships will benefit EPCC students studying in the computer science and cybersecurity fields.

Full-time and part-time EPCC students majoring in high demand technology fields will receive financial support through the EPCC Foundation for tuition, books and academic supplies, technology, and be able to continue their studies at EPCC with fewer financial challenges with these scholarships.

"This is a great opportunity for EPCC students to major in these fields", said Cynthia Gamez, EPCC economics faculty member and EPCC Foundation Treasurer who attended the awards ceremony held at the EP Electric Stanton Tower Headquarters. "It's wonderful that El Paso Electric funds so many nonprofits in our community," Gamez added.
