The El Paso Community College (EPCC) Community Education Program celebrated its graduation. Almost a hundred students got their GED Certification this Friday, July 8, 2022. 94 students received their GED Certification after a graduation ceremony.
“We are proud of serving the migrant and emigrant population, we are going to graduate 94 students with GED certificates, and it has been difficult because of Covid related issues." Dr. Andres Muro, Director of Community Education Program said.
The Community Education Program offers GED education to the community of El Paso. The High School Equivalency Program (HEP) grant for farmworkers population and the IME becas scholarship for the students who want to obtain the GED certificate.
“I believe the purpose of the High School Equivalency Program (HEP) at the Community Education Program is to improve the quality of life for agricultural and farmworkers through education." Suamy Meza, Manager of the Community Education Program said.
