Falcons of the Week: September 7

Doggett continues to lead the Falcon defense with 60 digs over four contests.  The junior is currently 9th in the Lone Star Conference in digs with 117 while the Falcons have held opposing offenses to the third worst hitting percentage in the conference.

Taurie Magee - Senior - Altadena, California - Magee has been a big part of the Falcon defense as well, leading the team in blocks.  Last week she had 14 total along with 30 kills.  She is sixth in the league in blocks through two weeks of the season.

Women's Soccer

Kaylee Overmyer - Senior - Kapaa, Hawaii - Overmyer continued her hot start with her fourth goal of the season on Friday.  The senior came into the season with just two in her Falcon career.  She is currently fifth in the Lone Star Conference in goals scored.

Men's Cross Country

Christian Chavez - Freshman - Odessa, Texas - Chavez was the high finisher on the men's side in their season debut.  He finished 38th in a field loaded with Division I runners.

Women's Cross Country

Amber Martin - Sophomore - El Paso, Texas - Martin led the Falcons with a time of 16:57.5 at the Naimadu Classic in Abilene.

Football

Dylan Graham - Sophomore - Walnut Creek, California - Graham tossed two touchdown passes in his Falcon debut.  He found Brock Johnson and Tim Wiggins for his pair of scores in the fourth quarter.

Jalon Rocquemore - Sophomore - McKinney, Texas - Rocquemore had a huge start of the year for the Falcon defense.  He made eight tackles, with two for a loss, and recorded a sack against Southwest Baptist.

Men's Golf

Kalle Svederman - Freshman - Stockholm, Sweden - Svederman had a huge collegiate debut by placing fourth at Arendsen Invitational.  The freshman had a strong final round and finished +3 for the event.

Sangha Park - Junior - Cheongju, South Korea - Park had a strong start to his Falcon career finishing +7 in 10th place.
