After becoming the first player in UT Permian Basin Women's Golf history to win an individual event, Arnie Taguines was named Lone Star Conference Women's Golfer of the Week. The freshman won the Shootout at Estrella, finishing 4-under par 140 (69-71) at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona. Taguines birdied holes 15 and 16 to turn a one-stroke deficit into a one-stroke lead and helped the Falcons finish fourth as a team.
