Bengtsson Takes First Top 5 Finish, Team Finishes Sixth at Ryan Palmer Invitational

Sebastian Bengtsson's fast start continued into the final round of the Ryan Palmer Invitational on Tuesday.  The freshman used a final round -3 (67) to place tied for fourth at -4 for the tournament.  Not far behind him was teammate Thonsaeng Nunya who finished tied for 14th at E.

Bengtsson started the day strong at -3 on the front nine and was E on the back to finish just two shots off the lead.  The second best round of the day was shot by Frithjof Rasmussen who was -2 (68) on the day.  He'd finish the event tied for 44th at +6.  Nunya played consistent golf all week with 38 pars.  Kalle Svederman had a good final round at +2 (72) to place tied for 56th.  Sangha Park shot a +5 (75) on the day to finish tied for 74th.  Nolan Otto competed as an individual and placed tied for 62nd at +11.

The Falcons had a big final round, shooting -2 (278) as a team to move up the leader board.  They tied host West Texas A&M and beat five other Lone Star Conference opponents.

It's a quick turnaround for the Falcons as they'll head to Wichita Falls for the Midwestern State Invitational starting next Monday.  Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
