Transfer Student Success Symposium

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) hosted a special event that brought key partners from EPCC and UTEP together in order to strengthen our ongoing partnership and focus on building more equitable student transfer pathways and the development of student-centered practices to improve the transfer experience.

Faculty, administrators and students from both institutions attended presentations and participated in collaborative sessions focused on improving transfer academic pathways, admissions processes, and advising services for students transitioning from EPCC to UTEP.

The goals of the symposium were to:

  • Strengthen lines of communication between EPCC and UTEP
  • Grow curriculum alignment between EPCC and UTEP programs
  • Provide co-training for EPCC counselors/advisors and UTEP advisors
