Midland College celebrates new members of the healthcare industry

Candle lighting ceremony during Associate Degree Nursing pinning ceremony | Midland College

When a student completes a program of study in health sciences, it is a tradition to recognize this achievement with a pining ceremony signifying transition from student to healthcare professional.  Last week Midland College (MC) held three pinning ceremonies to recognize December 2022 graduates of the Associate Degree Nursing program, students completing the Pharmacy Technician program and students completing the Phlebotomy program.  On Tuesday, December 13, the College held a pinning ceremony to recognize Certified Nurse Aide program completers.

“We commend the students in all of these programs for their dedication and perseverance,” Dr. Damon Kennedy, MC vice president of Instruction, said.  “They will make a positive impact on healthcare in our community.”

MC December 2022 Associate Degree Nursing graduates who are now eligible to take the National Council Licensure Exam-Registered Nurse are Dawn Avara, Kimberly Ballones, Caryse Bateman, Sandra Correa, Juan DeGuia, Samadi De La Rosa, Ramona Fontes-Lopez, Fernanda Gutierrez Guzman, Ugochukwu Idebolo, Cassandra Kuhn, Crystal Mceachin, Terisapearl Norris, Mathias Ramirez, Ashley Rangel, Lisa Saylor, Reyes Smith and Angela Vera.

Students who successfully finished the Pharmacy Technician program are Alyssa Aguilar, Adriana Castillo, Forrest Coffie, Jose Fragoso, Mayra Yesenia Galvan, Jessica Garcia, Mary Woe Gavor, Mirella Gomez, Ruth McCullough, Victoria Ramon Morgan, Sterling Raines, Marlee Mariah Snodgrass, Jamie Tenorio, Elsa Elena Teveni and Merary Valdez.

Phlebotomy program completers are Erica Arrieta, Raquel Esparza, Dakyra Goodley, Hailey Leonard, Alondra Leyva, Maleny Lora, Lorena Marquez, Jaelexa Perez Marrero, Shawanda Montano, Karina Nava, Celia Danielle Payen, Paulina Anahi Rodriguez, Callie Sager, Tanya Yahaira Sanchez, Miriam Pesina Sarinana, Iveth Carrasco Urquidi and Celina Valencia.

Finally, those students who completed the Certified Nurse Aide program are Olushola Ruth Adedayo, Adriel Brooks, Natalie Campos, Gold Ebiere Egot, Maritza Enriquez, Ruben Enriquez, Christine Minayo Heckman, Justine High, Jayla Hill, Carri Mims, Jacqueline Ramirez, Samantha Schievelbein, Elizabeth Tutor, Dalila Villa, Kimberly Whitfield and Emily Yharte.
