Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Year MJ Link was named a Don Hansen Division II All-American Honorable Mention the publication announced Tuesday.  The senior also earned All-Super Region Four honors earlier this offseason.

Link was a dominant force all over the field for the Falcon offense.  He finished with a league high nine touchdowns along with 782 yards and 54 catches.  Link also filled in at quarterback in the wildcat formation, completing 10 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown.  He was a ground threat when under center, rushing for 162 yards and a touchdown, including 103 yards in the team's season finale.

The Lakeland, Florida native had four games of over 100 yards receiving this season.  Against Angelo State he went off for 191 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  Two weeks later he set a school record with 12 catches for 114 yards and a pair of scores at West Texas A&M.  The next week against Simon Fraser he had eight catches for 141 yards, including a 93 yard touchdown.  Late in the season at Eastern New Mexico he scored twice on seven catches for 129 yards.

The senior ended his Falcon career the most decorated offensive player in program history.  He holds career records for catches (116), yards (1,793), and touchdowns (22).  Link is also the single season record holder in catches (54), yards (782), and touchdowns (nine).  He also has seven two-touchdown reception games.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.
