King Crowns a Double Double on the Road

Three Falcons break double digits in a highly competitive road game at Midwestern State University.
Junior guard Jalen King led all Falcons with 17 points and 16 rebounds Thursday night. Graduate Student DaJuan Jones matched King's 17 while senior Max Warren finished the night with 10 points. Junior guard Keyon Craddock just missed double digits with nine points on the night.
Throughout most of the game UTPB and MSU Texas were about even. In fact, there were seven lead changes in the game and the teams were tied nine times.
UTPB and MSU were tied at the half at 24-24.
Late in the second half, MSU went up eight points 52-44 with 6:51 left in the game. The Falcons battled back and pulled even at 54-54 with only 3:02 left on the clock. With under 30 seconds left in the game, a big three pointer from junior Daniel Moody cut MSU's advantage to only two. However, the comeback was cut short and Midwestern was able to hold on for the 65-59 win. UTPB moves to 11-16 (5-13) on the season.
The last leg of this road trip will take the Falcons up to Cameron Saturday, February 11 for a 3pm tipoff.
