Fort Stockton ISD schools Education: 202 white students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 202 white students enrolled in Fort Stockton ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Fort Stockton ISD schools welcomed 2,248 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 9% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Fort Stockton ISD roughly covers schools within Pecos County and has a main office in Fort Stockton.

Among the five schools in Fort Stockton ISD schools, Fort Stockton Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 56 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
