Terrell County ISD Education: 129 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 129 students enrolled in Terrell County ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.2% of them were girls, and 48.8% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 60.5% of the Terrell County ISD total enrollment.

Terrell County ISD roughly covers schools within Terrell County with its main office in Sanderson.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
