How many Asian students were enrolled in Culberson County-Allamoore ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were five Asian students enrolled in Culberson County-Allamoore ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 16.7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Culberson County-Allamoore ISD schools welcomed 366 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 1.4% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Culberson County-Allamoore ISD roughly covers schools within Culberson County and has a main office in Van Horn.

Van Horn School was the only school in the district which enrolled Asian students, welcoming five students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
