Enrollment Analysis: white students comprised 35% of Ft. Davis ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 64 white students enrolled in Ft. Davis ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.2% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Ft. Davis ISD schools welcomed 183 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 35% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Ft. Davis ISD roughly covers schools within Jeff Davis County and has a main office in Fort Davis.

Ft. Davis School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 64 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
