How many Pacific Islander students were enrolled in Fort Stockton ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were three Pacific Islander students enrolled in Fort Stockton ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 50% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Fort Stockton ISD schools welcomed 2,187 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Fort Stockton ISD roughly covers schools within Pecos County and has a main office in Fort Stockton.

Among the six schools in Fort Stockton ISD schools, Fort Stockton Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of one student.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
