Rep. Tony Gonzales, who has represented Texas's 23rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared his insights and observations through a series of tweets. The congressman addressed issues ranging from military deployments to historical remembrance and border security.
On January 25, 2025, Rep. Gonzales visited Fort Bliss in El Paso as "1,500 troops are being deployed across the southern border" while deportation flights resumed under the new Trump administration. He noted that "El Paso is ground zero for these operations" and emphasized the collective effort required "to make America safe again."
Two days later, on January 27, 2025, he reflected on a somber historical event by stating, "Today, we remember and honor the 6 million Jewish lives we lost during one of the darkest chapters in human history." He concluded with a solemn pledge: "Never again."
Later that day, Rep. Gonzales commented on an incident involving cartel activities at the border. He highlighted that "the cartel terrorists will stop at nothing to evade our laws and harm our law enforcement." Fortunately, he reported that no Border Patrol Agents were injured in this incident.
