Rep. Tony Gonzales discusses military collaborations and security efforts in Texas

Rep. Tony Gonzales, who has represented Texas's 23rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, shared updates from his recent engagements on February 19, 2025. His communications highlighted various military and law enforcement activities in Texas.

In a post from February 19, Rep. Gonzales detailed his meeting with the 1st Armored Division and Major General Curtis Taylor at Fort Bliss, Texas. He expressed his appreciation for their missions and described the soldiers as "among the best of the best." "This morning, I met with the 1st Armored Division and Major General Curtis Taylor."

Later that day, he reported on migrant removal operations conducted by ICE at Biggs Airfield in Texas. According to Gonzales, there have been 23 flights as of that date, which he noted as significant progress compared to a few weeks prior. He commended the collaboration between military and law enforcement agencies. "As of today, 23 migrant removal flights have been conducted by ICE at Biggs Airfield."

Additionally, Rep. Gonzales acknowledged JTF North's efforts against drug distribution and terrorism threats from its headquarters at Fort Bliss. He thanked Commander Major General Henry Dixon for updating him on national security advancements made by the military. "JTF North is headquartered at Fort Bliss and is leading the way to counter drug distribution and terrorism threats."
