Later that day, he expressed gratitude towards law enforcement officers visiting Washington D.C., tweeting “Thank you @SATXPolice Honor Guard for stopping by my office this afternoon to say hello.” The visit was part of #NationalPoliceWeek activities at the Capitol Building with Team Gonzales.
In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Gonzales commended efforts to enhance national security measures: “Our FBI agents and their partners saved countless American servicemembers’ lives.” He praised the administration’s initiative to deploy more agents for public safety missions.
