Rep. Tony Gonzales, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 23rd district, recently posted updates on legislative and commemorative efforts via his social media accounts.

On September 10, 2025, Gonzales announced the passage of a provision in the House’s FY26 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), stating: “NEW: I led the charge with support from the entire San Antonio delegation in urging the Pentagon to fully utilize San Antonio under the Western Hemisphere Command. This provision just PASSED in the House’s FY26 NDAA. I will always go to bat for Military City USA.” The following day, he also shared a link without additional comment: “https://t.co/z31e8mccyz”.

On September 11, 2025, marking the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Gonzales wrote: “24 years ago, our nation was forever changed. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken by the hands of evil when terrorists attacked our country. Gonzales has represented Texas’s 23rd congressional district since his initial election victory in 2020 against Gina Ortiz Jones. He secured reelection in subsequent cycles, defeating John Lira in 2022 and Santos Limon in 2024.
