Rep. Tony Gonzales, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas, shared updates on his visits to higher education institutions in San Antonio through several posts on October 16, 2025.

In one post made at 1:56 p.m., Gonzales included a link without additional commentary (https://t.co/iHKd0byCex).

Later that day at 4:26 p.m., he wrote, “Took a tour of San Antonio’s Trinity University this morning with President Beasley.  The Alamo City is home to many top-tier universities, & @Trinity_U is doing excellent work educating our future leaders. I’m fighting to ensure our Texas institutions of higher ed continue https://t.co/KCQy8LbNkf”.

At 11:26 p.m., Gonzales posted about another visit: “Today, I toured the UTSA Roadrunner Athletic Center for Excellence facilities & met with UTSA Athletic Director Lisa Campos & Head Football Coach Jeff Traylor. Roadrunner pride is strong in the 210! #BirdsUp https://t.co/3tLS2pZ0It”.

Gonzales has represented Texas’s congressional district since first winning election in 2020 against Gina Ortiz Jones and securing subsequent victories over John Lira in 2022 and Santos Limon in 2024. In his most recent contest, he won by a margin of nearly 25 percentage points.
