Later that day at 4:26 p.m., he wrote, “Took a tour of San Antonio’s Trinity University this morning with President Beasley. The Alamo City is home to many top-tier universities, & @Trinity_U is doing excellent work educating our future leaders. Gonzales has represented Texas’s congressional district since first winning election in 2020 against Gina Ortiz Jones and securing subsequent victories over John Lira in 2022 and Santos Limon in 2024. In his most recent contest, he won by a margin of nearly 25 percentage points.
