Rep. Tony Gonzales, a U.S. Congressman who has represented his district since 2020, used his social media account to address upcoming deadlines for service academy applications and to commemorate the anniversary of a Hamas-led attack in Israel.

On October 6, 2025, Gonzales posted a reminder about the approaching deadline for U.S. Service Academy applications: “REMINDER: Service Academy application deadline

October 30th is the deadline for U.S. Service Academy applications.

For more information & to apply, please see below. ” (October 6, 2025).

The following day, he commented on the two-year anniversary of a significant event in Israel: “Two years ago, 1,195 men, women, & children were killed in a Hamas-led attack in Israel. Our prayers are with the Israeli people & all of those who lost a loved one to this tragic act of terror.

To this day, 48 innocent individuals are still being held hostage by Hamas.” (October 7, 2025).

Tony Gonzales has maintained his seat in Congress through several election cycles. In 2024, he won against Santos Limon with approximately 62% of the vote. In previous elections, he defeated John Lira in 2022 and Gina Ortiz Jones in 2020, consistently maintaining a majority.
