Texas Women’s Golf had four student-athletes recognized as members of the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 team, the league office announced Wednesday. Texas’ honorees are senior Sara Kouskova, junior Sophie Guo, sophomore Bentley Cotton and sophomore Ashleigh Park. All four-student athletes received first-team honors, marking the third consecutive year that at least four Longhorns have earned Academic All-Big 12.

This marks Kouskova’s third-straight first-team selection and back-to-back years for Guo, both as a member of the first-team. Kouskova earned a spot on the 2019 Academic All-Big Rookie team, Guo received that honor in 2020, while Cotton and Park both made the squad as freshmen last year.

First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
