Enrollment Analysis: Asian students comprised 0.9% of Presidio ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were nine Asian students enrolled in Presidio ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 35.7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Presidio ISD schools welcomed 1,020 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.9% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Presidio ISD roughly covers schools within Presidio County and has a main office in Presidio.

Among the three schools in Presidio ISD schools, Presidio High School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of five students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
