Rep. Tony Gonzales has been serving as a U.S. Representative for Texas's 23rd District since 2021. Born in 1980, Gonzales holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College and resides in San Antonio. Through a series of social media posts, he shared his thoughts and well-wishes during the Easter period, as well as insights on budgetary priorities.

On April 18, 2025, Gonzales shared a religious message in observance of Good Friday. He quoted a biblical scripture, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16, and extended a wish of blessing to his followers, "Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Good Friday."

The following day, April 19, 2025, Gonzales addressed fiscal matters in a tweet emphasizing the importance of economic prudence. He stated, "Building a budget that cuts wasteful spending and protects tried and true programs, like Medicaid, is a top priority." This post outlined his commitment to maintaining essential health programs while seeking to reduce unnecessary expenditures.

On April 20, 2025, Easter Sunday, Gonzales expressed Easter greetings by sharing another scriptural reference, “He is not here; he is risen, just as he said.” Matthew 28:6. He accompanied the quote with personal well wishes, saying, "From my family to yours—we wish you a happy and blessed Easter."

Tony Gonzales, 42, has been a member of the U.S. Congress for several years, representing the state of Texas's 23rd District. He is an alumnus of Excelsior College and makes his home in San Antonio.
