Rep. Tony Gonzales, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Texas's 23rd District since 2021, recently shared a series of tweets addressing his activities and political stance. Gonzales, born in 1980 and currently residing in San Antonio, expressed gratitude towards local leaders and discussed border policies.

On March 4, 2025, Rep. Tony Gonzales tweeted about a meeting with Dimmit County Judge Martha Ponce and other local leaders in Washington D.C., expressing his appreciation for their engagement: "Thank you to Dimmit County Judge Martha Ponce and local leaders for meeting with me this morning in D.C."

The following day, on March 5, 2025, he reflected on the political shift after the November 5, 2024 elections. He emphasized the dissatisfaction with the Biden administration's policies and praised President Trump's prompt actions upon taking office: "On November 5, 2024, Americans sent an overwhelming message to Washington—enough is enough. In my district, we know all too well the damage caused by the Biden administration’s policies, especially at the border. Within hours of taking office, President Trump took action."

Later that day, Rep. Gonzales announced his participation in a visit to the border alongside Vice President Kamala Harris. He highlighted improvements under the new administration: "Joining @VP on a visit to the border in my district #TX23. Under the new White House, Americans have become safer, stronger, and more prosperous OVERNIGHT."
