Rep. Tony Gonzales, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas's 23rd District since 2021, made a series of statements on April 17th, 2025, addressing issues ranging from veterans' affairs to school safety.

On April 17, Rep. Gonzales tweeted, "We’re here to help our vets navigate federal agencies—give us a call or visit my website for more information." This appeal underscores Gonzales's commitment to assisting veterans in navigating the complexities of federal agencies.

In another tweet posted the same day, Gonzales highlighted a specific case involving a local veteran. He noted, "Before coming to our office for assistance, a local veteran was denied help three times regarding replacing medals he rightfully earned during his service. Within two months, our veteran’s casework team was able to replace his medals." This successful resolution demonstrates the effectiveness of his office's casework team in advocating for veterans' rights.

Addressing a different matter on April 17, he expressed his concern about school safety, stating, "Two school shootings in one week. We are FAILING our children. No more sentiments, the only way forward is taking action. SECURE OUR SCHOOLS." Gonzales emphasized the urgency of implementing measures to protect schools in the wake of recent incidents.

Tony Gonzales, 42, who resides in San Antonio, graduated with a BS from Excelsior College. His background and education inform his legislative efforts in addressing critical issues that affect both his constituents and broader national concerns.
